canvas information

At Evo Art, we take time and care in producing your art, we are a team of professionals only using the best materials and equipment on the market ensuring that you are as pleased as we are with the results.

All of our printed canvases are made with high-grade artist's canvas using solvent acrylic inks which are UV protective and waterproof. Once the master art file has been finalised, the art is printed onto a 340gsm cotton canvas, via the 'Giclee' printing process. Once the canvas print has been produced, an acrylic varnish is applied to the image side of the print to protect it from harmful UV and to prevent 100-200 light fastness (fading).

The canvas print is then stretched onto gallery specification stretcher bars (wooden frame) with a depth of 1¼ inch. The frame is then adjusted to give a tort canvas presentation 'drum' sound. The frames remain adjustable for any future slackness that may occur.

The immaculate presentation is then continued to the rear of the print by trimming all excess canvas. The staples are then covered with a craft tape to leave a clean and staple free appearance.

The print is then inspected and approved. We take great care of your artwork ensuring that you receive an immaculate piece of art that you can enjoy for many years. To guarantee absolute satisfaction your canvas art is given protective corners and will be carefully bubble-wrapped and packaged into heavy-duty cardboard boxes ready for shipping.

We will start creating your artwork on receipt of your order so please allow 10 days from time of order to delivery.
